In addition to its production, distribution and import activities, for the past 14 years, SODIKART has established an organizational structure responsible for management in France of the CHALLENGE ROTAX and the BRIDGESTONE CUP and at an international level, the SWS (SODI W SERIES). Since 2010 these organizations are combined under the name of 3MK Events.
CHALLENGE ROTAX France
The Challenge Rotax France was created in 1999 by Sodikart (exclusive importer of Rotax engines for France). It is organized by 3MK Events (3 qualifying races and 1 national final); it currently represents the largest number of drivers in France and participates in the selections for the world Grand Finals organized every year by BRP-Powertrain (Rotax 125 Max engine manufacturer); a unique event which brings together over 55 nationalities.
The “Bridgestone Cup” was created in 2005 during the Formula 1 French Grand Prix; over a few years it has become one of the most prestigious races in the French season. It combines the three Rotax categories (Rotax Max, Rotax Max Master and Rotax DD2) + “Minimes” and “Cadets” categories, and is composed of two qualifying races (East/West) and National Finals.
SWS / SODI W SERIES
The initiation and organization since 2009 of the SWS is one of the biggest challenges of 3MK Events. The goal is to unite around a world ranking the best “recreational” drivers in the world (= drivers who are not members of a Sports Federation) who participate in the SWS races organized on the partner tracks (fitted with the Sodi chassis) and can attempt to qualify for the SWS World Finals organized every year by 3MK Events. There were over 5,000 participants in 2010; the SWS are the most important event in recreational karting in the world.
