SODIKART CONCLUDES 2022 WITH ANOTHER TITLE

In Lonato, Sodikart and Senna Van Walstijn ended their season as they started it: with an international title in WSK! The circle is complete for the Sodi Racing Team, which has reached the objective it had for Lonato for the second and last round of the WSK Final Cup. Once again, the Sodi-TM karts entered in the KZ2 category reached a very high level of performance. At the end of a suspenseful meeting, Van Walstijn kept the advantage from his victory in Sarno to win the title. The satisfaction was also there in OK with a second top five in a row for Nathan Tye, whose debut in the category is proving to be conclusive.

Senna Van Walstijn, who retired in the first heat, was immediately in a difficult situation, despite his unquestionable competitiveness. Fortunately, the Dutchman immediately followed up with a 2nd place and a victory, before winning the Super Heat with the fastest lap. "Starting from the fourth row in the Final, I knew that victory would be difficult, but I remained focused on winning the title in this WSK Final Cup," commented the Sodi Racing Team driver. "It is never easy to try to secure a result, especially as it was sometimes heated in the middle of the pack. However, I managed to get through the pitfalls to get this trophy which turned out to be much coveted."

Emilien Denner, the fastest in the Final

Initially lacking success in Sarno, Emilien Denner had to retire in the Super Heat and fell to 17th on the starting grid in the Final. Despite this setback, Emilien set the fastest lap in the Final during his breathtaking comeback to 5th position. CPB Sport, a partner of the Sodi Racing Team, showed its worth with Thomas Imbourg, who fought throughout the meeting at the front, especially at the beginning of the Final when the Frenchman was in 3rd position.

"As the season draws to a close, it was important for Sodikart to once again demonstrate the extreme competitiveness of the equipment," added team manager Mansel Smith. "2022 has brought us many victories and several major international titles. We will be very ambitious again next year, including in OK, in this category that we joined only a few weeks ago. Our British driver Nathan Tye was once again in the top five despite strong competition on the Lonato circuit. He also finished 4th in the WSK Final Cup standings, which bodes very well for 2023."
