At 34, former official Sodi Racing Team driver Anthony Abbasse is now old enough to race in KZ2 Masters against some of the best drivers of his generation. He will be making his debut in this new category, reserved for drivers aged 35 and over during the year, at the FIA Karting European Championship before lining up at the start of the Portimão International Super Cup in October. The first European event will take place next weekend in Spain on the MotorLand Aragón circuit. Anthony will of course be driving a Sodi / TM Kart package entered by the French brand through the Renda Motorsport team. "I've always remained loyal to Sodikart", said Anthony. "I'm proud to have been able to make a living out of my passion with such a dynamic factory team, and to have been part of such a great adventure. Sodi is now allowing me to take up a new international challenge in KZ2 Masters. It's an opportunity I don't intend to let pass me by and I'm going to give it my all to prove myself worthy". |
